Sarah & Chris got married in Brentford, West London. I was to cover the groom prep in the morning. Chris was getting ready at his parent’s place just down the road from Syon House, where his lovely bride to be was spending the morning. Once everyone was ready, we walked about 10 minutes down the road to the church, meeting some of Chris’ friends along the way. After an emotional ceremony (including a tear-jerking rendition of Elbow’s “One Day Like This” by a small choir consisting of some of Sarah & Chris’ close friends), the new bride and groom headed out of the church to an awesome explosion of confetti! We got in the car and followed them to the beautiful Kew Gardens, where the reception was already underway.
It was an afternoon of sun and laughter all round – the speeches were heartfelt and emotional, and Sarah even made a little speech of her own at the end. We managed to get the wedding party outside after dinner to make the most of the golden hour, and with the help of a golf buggy (& a friendly member of staff!) we took Sarah & Chris around the stunning grounds, stopping occasionally for some informal & relaxed posed shots.
Had an amazing time shooting the whole day through, and was absolutely privileged to be part of their day. Here’s a little selection from the day and, as always, I welcome your comments and thoughts.
